Certification strengthens energy efficiency and scalable operations for CPOs and fleet customers
Southlake, TX | January 8, 2026 — viveEV, a global provider of high-performance EV charging solutions, today announced that its 180 kW DC fast charging station models (VE180U, VE180U-C2, VE180U-N2, VE180U-C, VE180U-N) have been certified under the ENERGY STAR® Program Requirements for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), Eligibility Criteria Version 1.2, by TÜV Rheinland of North America, Inc.
As EV charging networks continue to expand across North America, energy efficiency has become a critical factor alongside charging power and uptime. The ENERGY STAR® certification validates viveEV’s commitment to delivering high-efficiency, reliable DC fast charging solutions that help operators reduce unnecessary energy consumption, lower operating costs, and scale infrastructure.
Key Highlights
ENERGY STAR® Certification Achieved: TÜV Rheinland has verified that viveEV’s VE180U Series 180 kW DC fast chargers meet the stringent ENERGY STAR® EVSE program requirements.
Improved Operational Efficiency: Certification confirms compliance with established energy-efficiency benchmarks, supporting charging point operators (CPOs) and fleet customers in reducing energy waste and improving long-term operational cost efficiency.
EPA Reporting and Qualified Product Listing: TÜV Rheinland will report all required information for the certified products to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The certified models are expected to be listed on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified Product website following EPA processing.
Official Labeling: viveEV will begin labeling the certified products in accordance with its ENERGY STAR® Partnership Agreement, signifying a mark of quality and efficiency for the U.S. and Canadian markets.
“As charging infrastructure scales, efficiency becomes just as important as power output,” said a viveEV spokesperson. “This ENERGY STAR® certification reflects our commitment to delivering high-efficiency, high-reliability charging solutions that enable operators to build scalable networks while reducing operational cost and complexity.”
viveEV will continue expanding its product portfolio aligned with North American energy-efficiency requirements and investing in technologies that help CPOs and fleet operators improve operations and reduce cost. The company also plans to strengthen operational capabilities through enhanced remote monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting support—accelerating adoption of efficiency-driven charging infrastructure across the region.
